Manuel Haugh is a new dwelling built on the footprint on an existing farmhouse and barn complex. The form of the old buildings have been reinvented to create two courtyards. The first acts as the entry court defined by outbuildings and a car port and allows for plenty of parking. The second is a garden court from which you enter the main house. The main space within the house is the dining room which fills the one and a half storey volume and is looked down on from the galleried upper hall. On the first floor the south facing gable is fully glazed and opens onto a balcony with stunning views of Cockleroy.
